Here’s a question…
Your lover is more in love with you than you are with them.
You are more in love with your lover than they are with you.
Which would you choose, if you could only have one or the other?

Your lover is more in love with you than you are with them.
You are more in love with your lover than they are with you.
Which would you choose, if you could only have one or the other?

OMG Karli, don’t ask me that kind of question!

Well, truly, I am selfish. So I would prefer my lover being more in love with me than I with them…
And I hate pain… ick!

I’m dying to know why you asked.

I knew you would wonder, Miss R…

Maybe I’m not as selfish, but being the one less in love is not all that it’s cracked up to be. Not that the reverse is any fun…

The lover who loves me more. Always.

I’d rather love them more. Loving is the best feeling and I want to experience it as deeply as I can. It feels nice to have people love you, but when they love you MORE than you love them, it is just uncomfortable sort of, and you feel guilty, and inauthentic sometimes with them, because they have all these deep feelings for you and expect you to feel the same way back, and when you don’t- AWKWARD… BUt if you love someone more than they love you- that’s fine. That is nice actually, because it just feels so good to love someone so completely. I have a partner I am way more in love with him than he is of me- I kind of like it that way. If he loved me as much as I loved him, it would get too committed and serious.

Can you go for both? Where you both *think* you love the other person more than they love you..but really they love you more? (even writing that out is confusing)
As I younger, childless person, I would have voted for “love them more”
But as an older, mother-type…I’d have to go for “loves me more” just for the stability of it.

I would say that as long as you are both honest with each other, who loves who most doesn’t matter quite so much. Honesty from the get-go will ease pains. Take what you need from each other - temporary comfort, pleasure, the fun of spending however long.. and don’t regret it. As a general rule.

I’d want to be the one who was loved more instead of the other way around. I know that loving someone for me happens slowly and usually deepens. If I have someone I can trust and respect who loves me, that could be enough for me I think.

I would choose neither.
I would wait for a lover that loves me as much as I love him, a love that we can both grow together in… How could it ever work if one side gives more than the other, and if one person loves more that is how it will end up.
I would choose to have a lover that I give my whole self to, and they in turn give me all of them as well…
I can not see myself settling for less.
xoxo

I think I would want to love them more. I would feel too guilty if it were the other way around.
