Wonderful Things
I slept in rag curls a few nights ago, and the next day was the best hair day I’ve ever had. (You know what that’s like, ladies. Just go with me on this one, guys.)
Last night, a guy I had never met before came over and helped me paint my old apartment. A friend from school told him I needed help, so he turned up and worked for almost six hours.
I signed a lease on a new apartment, a mother-in-law unit in the basement of someone’s house. A week later I ran across my new landlord at one of my favorite AA meetings.
Despite packing and moving and painting and sick children and getting up at 5:30 every morning, I got the highest score in my class on our mid-term last week.
There’s a darling, darling girl in my class who always laughs at my stupid jokes.
It turns out I’m very, very good at cutting hair.
Life is looking just fine.

Glad the new Karli is doing so well. You sound a little surprised at your mid-term result…. Karli my dear, now is when your life experience comes into fruitition. You have reason…. purpose….. and immeasurable talant. It is good to see those skills are not going to waste!!!
