Self Portrait Tuesday: The Nest

If only
I could hold my daughters
in the palms of my hands
both of them curled up
in a woven bed of soft grass and
strands of my hair
and I could keep them
forever

Very pretty. We had a bird’s nest in our back yard and had so much fun watching the eggs hatch that when it was abandoned I had it framed for the wall.

Eloquently stated! It also caught my eye that you’re reading The Traveling Pants series. I bought #2 for a trip last week, finished #3 in a weekend and need to go buy #4!
