Me: Ugh, I’ve been so constipated lately.
Him: I’m sorry honey! …You know, I don’t think I’ve ever been constipated in my life.
Me: What are you talking about? You’re constipated all the time!
Him: No, I’m not.
Me: Then why do you spend half an hour in the bathroom every day?
Him: Oh. That’s because I like it.
Me: What?
Him: It’s fun.
Me: What are you talking about?
Him: C’mon, sitting there all by myself in a quiet room… reading a book… with no pants on. It’s awesome!
Me: [stunned silence]
Karli, don’t even attempt to reason with him - it’s a male thing…. at the ripe old age of 4 3/4, Callum is the KING of ’session time’ and my best friend’s 5 y.o. has actually coined the phrase “Poo Rest” for his quiet time on the loo. Oh, and my 3 y.o. has been known, on occasion, to take a book in with him. Chances are Ammon has been a lost cause for TWO DECADES!!

I seriously can’t figure out why *that* is the way they would choose to spend alone time… I mean ewwww! I like to get it over as fast as possible and get out. Guys are beyond strange.

So funny! I have this friend who spent a long time telling me about this particular “alone time”, and that guys just really like it, it’s restful and peaceful. But stinky, wouldn’t you think?

My hub is in there for a minimum of 30 minutes when he gets home from work. I even clocked him at an hour once. I thought he fell asleep!
Why is it that I can’t be in the bathroom 5 minutes before one of the kiddlings is banging on the door for me to let them in???
