Stumbleupon is a.. thing… that you can download if you use Firefox (and everyone should, btw). It allows you to choose your interests and it send you off willy-nilly into the internetosphere to sample randomly of your interests and rate what you find. The ultimate time waster. Apparently, someone liked you enough to give you a thumbs up and thus add your blog to the randomness.

Hehe, I just stumbled in here. It’s a community of curious people, who help each other find great sites on these vast fields of ones and zeroes. Someone added your little corner to our neverending maze, and know we each have to decide whether we like this detour or not. I haven’t really looked around yet, but it looks interesting in here.

Just thought I’d mention that you don’t have to have Firefox to use StumbleUpon. I use internet explorer and it works fine.

Stumbled here too… Don’t know if I’ll be back… but that’s how I got here.
it’s kind of like a “random button” - people click on a “I like it” button if they like your site. then those of us who say we like sites like yours… will “stumble upon” it.

Great, Thanks ALOT! I had to go and get all curious about what stumbleupon was and now I have been wasting all my time stumbling all over the internet. Wow, it’s a lot bigger than I thought it was….

Hey,
To make matters short, for StumbleUpon, you can adjust your settings to say Home and Gardening, and whenever you hit your StumbleUpon button it will take you to a random website about that topic that someone else has rated as noteworthy.
It can get addictive and to be honest once (OK maybe more than once) I set it to adult stumblers like er…porn and everytime I clicked the StumbleUpon button I would get a nudie pic or video or website.
Right now I have my StumbleUpon set to Gardening, Knitting/Crocheting, and Home Improvement.
By the way, I didnt stumbleupon your site. I either linked through from Dooce.com or Shape of a Motheror Self Portrait Challenge…but I initially StumbleUpon’ed there sites.
Rachel
P.S. Your “One Word” link to the left of your text is a dead link…no workie…notta.
