the queen’s meme
Not only did I totally win this week’s Tuesday Guess-It over at Her Majesty’s Throne, but the Queen then tagged me for a hilarious meme that I cannot resist. So without further ado, here are
9 Very Weird Things About Me
1. I have eaten a fried worm. As in, just pulled from the garden, rolled in batter, and fried in a pan. They told me it would taste like chicken. It did not.
2. I once won a gold medal in synchronized swimming. (There were only three teams competing, and one team didn’t even show up. We were the slightly less sucky of the two teams left. But that is neither here nor there.)
3. Eminem stepped on my foot backstage at Warped Tour. Don’t tell him I said this, but I knew he was going to bump into me and I didn’t move out of his way.
4. This one time? (At band camp?) My hair was black? And I thought it would be a good idea to try to bleach it platinum like Gwen Stefani? Yeah, don’t do that. It turns to mush and then you have to shave it all off. And then dye it blue.
5. When I was in second grade, I wanted to be the beautiful empress from The Neverending Story when I grew up.
6. Also in second grade I had an imaginary pet dragon. I wonder how he’s doing.
7. My favorite poet of all time is Edgar Allen Poe, but I’m not fond of his short stories. The craziness in the poetry speaks to me, but I think the stories are just plain scary.
8. The only thing I ever get at Dairy Queen is an Oreo Blizzard. Anything else is sacrilege.
9. I have eleven toes on my left foot. Ha! Just kidding. You should have seen your face.

Tsk, you shouldn’t joke with people so… just admit it. You used to have eleven toes on your left foot, that part is true, but then when your pet dragon became *my* pet dragon… well… he told me they were bits of stir-fry!

someday you’ve got to try adding strawberries to that oreo blizzard. I haven’t been to Dairy Queen in years but I used to order that all the time.

You once raised money for a kid with cancer, and the story hit the front page of the Seattle Times. The following January 1 the Times highlighted it as one of the best stories of the year. Weird? No. Amazing? Yes. I can also confirm the worm eating incident.

You are officially my newest hero. I wish I had the balls to shave my hair off and dye it blue
