my head is mush

You guys, I’m in a rut. A physical, spiritual, mental rut. I feel like I’m in some sort of haze… my mind is so cloudy and my body moves slowly, as if underwater. I can’t form any coherent thoughts and I find myself nodding off whenever I am still for longer than a few minutes. Not sure what’s going on, but I thought you should know. Sorry I’m so out of it.

  2. You’re entitled. Happens to all of us. Take some ‘me’ time to rejuvenate!

  3. I agree; I think you need some ‘me’ time. Can you get away for a day? Do something nice for yourself — a massage, a pedicure, tea and a good book at a small, quiet cafe? Something just for you, so you can reconnect and just have peace and quiet.

  4. I do believe rest is sometimes ideal for a physical and even a mental “rut”…however…and I’m going to tread very, very carefully…with regards to the “spiritual rut”, I’ve found that if I rest too long, I forget I’m in the wilderness and I take up residence there…so I’ve got to let Jesus pull me up, and even drag me out of the wilderness. He knows and only HE knows when our times in the wilderness is over…when He is calling us to re-engage in life and fall in love all over again with the gifts He’s given us when we put them to use.

I tread carefully because I know the life of “motherhood” is defined almost exclusively by “servanthood” so only you know where you are on your journey…do the best for you, surround yourself with God and His word and His music and His love and it will glow from within, from your core! Blessings and prayers for a day of rest and new LIFE!

  5. Sometimes you need downtime to help refocus. Take care of yourself.

  6. Do you have any allergies? Thyroid problems? I’d get it checked out if it continues.

  7. Could be this weird weather we are having. Here in KC it was 78 last Saturday and now they are predicting 10 inces of snow. I wish it would make up it’s mind.

  8. I feel a little bit that way myself right now. Try for some me time this weekend. Impossible for a mom, I know. But maybe even an hour. (Like I should talk.) Have a relaxing weekend.

  12. Mercury’s in retrograde. That pretty much covers everything wrong in my life for the past couple weeks, so maybe it will cover your issues as well. It’s over on the 27th if that’s any consolation.

if it’s just simple “out of it” it’ll go away. Try not to guilt over it…praying for your fog to be removed…sincerely
